The 50/50/50/50 Chocolate Almond Butter Molten Cake


50g all purpose flour
50g sugar
50g coconut oil
50g dark chocolate
1 egg
2 tbsp all natural almond butter
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
pinch of sea salt
extra coconut oil to grease ramekins
1 tbsp icing sugar

Serves: 2


preheat oven to 390°F
melt coconut oil and dark chocolate in microwave for about 1 minutes, set aside to cool
add sugar, almond butter and egg and mix well
sieve in flour, baking powder and salt to the chocolate mixture
grease ramekins with coconut oil
pour mixture into 2 greased ramekins
bake for 10 minutes or bake for 14 minutes if you refrigerated the mixture
sieve icing sugar over the cake after cooling for 30 seconds
sprinkle pinch of sea salt to give the cake that extra punch
spoon into the cake and chocolate should be ‘molten-lava-like’

#P&Y Tips:

leave egg out to room temperature before mixing to ensure even cooking

you can use different nut butter of your choice but make sure they are natural, you can even add almond extract, mint extract to make it more personal
